Learning is not a season for me, it's a discipline. From mechanical engineering to a UX BFA at SCAD, with masters in SEO and CRO, a Google UX certificate, and a constant stream of specialised courses on the side, every step has been chosen on purpose. The point isn't the diploma. The point is the way of thinking each programme leaves behind.

SCAD, BFA UX Design.

Where the engineering brain came from.

Sep 2018 — Jun 2019 · 2 years completed Foundations

Mechanical Engineering

Universidad de Valladolid · Spain

Two full years of the BSc in Mechanical Engineering, taken on while already racing as an under-23 cyclist. I left the degree to go pro in 2020, but the syllabus stayed with me and still shapes how I think about systems, materials, and trade-offs. It's also why I can sit between designers and engineers without missing a beat.

Course load

  • 3 advanced mathematics courses
  • Object-oriented programming & C++
  • 3 physics courses
  • Technical drawing

The data side of design.

The thread that took me from graphic and product design into UX wasn't a single class, it was a stack of targeted programmes I took on my own time. Each one closed a specific gap.

A learning record, not a finished one.

The list above isn't closed. I take new courses every quarter, read across disciplines, and treat every project as a study programme of its own.

Right now I'm deep in agentic AI workflows with Claude Code, generative search optimisation, and industrial design fundamentals through the SCAD minor. By the time you read this, the list has probably grown.

I rarely take a programme just to add a line to a CV. Each one has to fix a real gap, give me a tool I can use the next day, or open a domain I want to argue about with the people who designed it.

If you want the up-to-date version of this page, just ask the AI on the side, or write to me directly.
