Summary
I design the product and build the system behind it. Ten real projects so far, from a federal housing-inspection platform with Deloitte to a B2B loyalty product for Delta, and most ran the whole way: research, design system, front-end code, ship, then measure. The newer half of my work is AI. I design AI-native product features and run my own production on multi-agent pipelines I built, so what I bring to a review is usually working software, not a flat mockup.

-
Prototyping & Design Systems Lead
SCADpro × Deloitte Digital
Housing Help, for the HUD Atlanta Regional Office · 25-person cross-functional team
- Led prototyping and owned the design system for an AI-powered platform that runs federal NSPIRE housing inspections for three roles: tenants, landlords and inspectors.
- Defined the AI interaction model on a single principle, "AI advises, humans decide", across documentation guidance, plain-language translation of regulatory text, and violation prediction from historical patterns.
- Cut the tenant reporting flow from 10 branched steps to a linear 7 after usability testing, and met WCAG AAA, the federal requirement, validated against low-vision and color-blindness conditions.
- Broke a mid-project branding deadlock with a role-based color strategy the branding team adopted as the base of the visual identity. Reviewed by Google Design leads (Russell Matsuo, Roque Silva, Mike Buzzard) and Deloitte stakeholders.

Independent UX & Product Designer
Clients in the US and Spain
Armstrong Educational Services, Centre Point Global, AERO2, plus earlier brand, web, packaging and SEO/CRO clients
- Armstrong Educational Services: shipped a brand identity, a two-layer design-token system with light and dark modes, and a 21-route Next.js product, directing a 4-phase agent team end to end. Rebuilt the pricing funnel by turning the client's own instinct, "3 hours isn't 3x the price", into a validated decay curve, then QA'd the calculator against 7 worked examples and ran a WCAG 2.2 AA pass before launch.
- Centre Point Global (freelance Product & UX Lead): taking a family-run Madrid school-travel agency from one static page to a platform, now in build. Stakeholder mapping across the B2B2C chain, an 11-competitor heuristic audit, and a color audit that caught two brand colors failing as text (3.42:1 and 3.73:1 against a 4.5:1 minimum) before a single token shipped.
- AERO2: picked a performance nasal-strip brand's launch color with evidence instead of taste. Five colorways, printed comparisons, athlete interviews and a 32-respondent survey; Volt Green won at 4.1/5 purchase likelihood. Engineered one packaging dieline that carries all five without a layout change.
- Earlier freelance work, before SCAD, ran across branding, websites (Framer, WordPress), packaging, print, vehicle wraps and SEO/CRO consulting for clients in Spain and the US.

UX Designer, contract
Beloo
Cycling safety app · four delivered phases
- Audited the live app, then ran field research in Calpe, Spain with professional and casual riders (including Spanish champion Iván Romeo): a week of continuous real use, surveys, interviews and a focus group.
- Redesigned the core interactions around daily use: a five-tap ride start became one tap, through widgets, shortcuts and a context-aware reminder system that reads movement, ride timing and social proximity.
- Rebuilt the information architecture into a five-module sitemap, then redesigned the full UI, including glove-operable targets and a 3D element that reads broadcast state at a glance.

Two years of one-on-one training in search strategy, conversion optimization and behavioral analysis, with one habit that survived it: every design decision traces back to a user behavior or a business metric.

Delta for Business
Lead Product / UX Designer
SCAD studio, client-framed · team of 3 designers · live prototype
- Migrated three disconnected Delta corporate properties into one product structure, and co-designed a business-tier Medallion model with a teammate off research I led: 5 contextual interviews, a five-airline benchmark, and adoption archetypes scored on Rogers' Diffusion of Innovations.
- Built a 137-token design system in Figma, synced it to React, then wrote the constraints a 5-agent Claude Code team built inside: 8 markdown specs, a 1,172-line instruction file, and gates between three phases (type check, clean build, zero-hardcoded-color grep). I reviewed every diff at the gates and made the visual calls a grep can't.
- Validated end to end. The redesign beat the current site 7/10 vs 6/10 head-to-head, with 100% task success under 30 seconds and 0% rage clicks in Microsoft Clarity across 2 moderated and roughly 18 unmoderated sessions.

Robotic Food Delivery, Uber Eats × Serve Robotics
Team Lead
10-week contextual research engagement, SCAD
- Owned research planning, fieldwork distribution and synthesis across six methods: desk research, 5-day cultural probes, 6 customer interviews, 6 restaurant interviews, sensory intercepts on the Georgia Tech campus, affinity mapping. Nothing entered the synthesis unless it triangulated across two methods.
- Made the call to ship the deliverable as an interactive web client book (Next.js, built with Claude Code, on Vercel) instead of an 80-page PDF, so the client keeps a living reference with the Ideal Experience framework embedded live.

vicentehernaiz.tech
Designer and developer
Hand-coded portfolio with a custom AI assistant
- Designed and coded the site with no framework or template, then built its AI assistant end to end: interface, prompt architecture, serverless API, Supabase logging, tool-use lead capture, rate limiting, and a private dashboard tracking token cost per conversation.
